Wherever you go you hear people talking about how we need to recycle everything so we can take care of our planet. Do we really need to do this? Think about the fact that a single plastic shopping bag can take about 1,000 years to completely decay. Don’t forget, you’re simply talking about a single bag so that’s quite a long time. Consider the number of plastic shopping and trash bags you go through each year. When you multiply that amount by the number of people living in our country, it’s a large number. We can decide to use it again it by recycling and prevent it from sitting in a landfill decomposing for years. Numerous other items are commonly recycled, among them old tires being used in making playgrounds and plastic bags being used in clothing. Almost all things can be recycled.

Needless to say, most residents complied and recycling truly helped this town. They were able to construct a new playground and also create a water park. They were able to fund other municipal requirements such as a police department and pre-school scholarships via their recycling program. So, you can understand that recycling can produce money for other things as well as bring down the amount of scrap going to the landfill.

You may believe that you’re just one person in this big world, so you’re not going to make a big impact by yourself, however imagine if everybody made a little effort towards recycling! Land fill sites would be a great deal smaller, meaning they are more low-cost to run as well as not leaving an awful scar on the surrounding area. Don’t forget that money can be raised for impoverished residential areas from recycling and the environment will benefit as well! We all win.

They are suffering because of troubles in the environment including global warming. By just spending a small amount of time recycling, you’re saving the earth for the next generation to enjoy, just like you have.

Imagine how long it takes one thing to rot. As stated earlier, a plastic bag will take around 1,000 years to break down. A glass jar may really take up to one million years to break down and styrofoam may never rot at all while other items, such as disposable diapers and milk bottles, can take hundreds of years. Because all of these items are recyclable, why should we discard them?

For now, there’s absolutely no reason we aren’t able to recycle plastics, metals, and glass. Recycling these materials is fairly convenient in many communities and is not costly, so it’s a superb idea to help the environment. We could do a great deal  of good if each one of us opted  to help.
